Halloween is here! Time for some DIY spooky Halloween treats to make your dog!

Halloween isn’t just for humans anymore! We all know that candy, especially chocolate, is not safe for dogs, so keep the candy stashed for you and add to your pooches fun by making them some delicious DIY Halloween treats. You both can watch some scary movies while finding comfort in delicious snacks. We’ve done some research, and pulled up the best dog-friendly Halloween treats! Bone-Appetit! 

Black cat cookie dog treats 

There is nothing your dog will love more than munching on a black cat cookie! Bad luck, be gone! All you need for this recipe is; plain thick-style yogurt, blackstrap molasses, smooth peanut butter, carob powder, and brown rice flour. Combine the yogurt, molasses, peanut butter, and carob into a mixing bowl. Add your flour, and let the dough sit. Cut it into desired shapes, and then bake it at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 10-15 minutes!  

Peanut butter and pumpkin dog treats 

What says fall and Halloween better than peanut butter and pumpkin? Treat your pooch to these delicious cookies. All you need for these are; 1 egg, cooked and cooled mashed pumpkin, smooth peanut butter, low-sodium stock, brown rice flour. Simply combine the egg, pumpkin, peanut butter, stock, and any optional ingredients in a mixing bowl. Incrementally add in your flour. Next, rest your dough, then roll the dough and cut it into any shapes you desire. Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes and watch your dog gobble them up in no time!  

Pumpkin fro-yo bites 

To stick with the pumpkin theme, try making these impeccable pumpkin fro-yo bites. Grab some plain nonfat frozen yogurt, canned pure pumpkin, water, and a pumpkin-shaped ice tray. Mix the yogurt, pumpkin, and water together. Pour the mixture into your pumpkin ice tray and freeze for 3-4 hours. Remove from the freezer, and feed to your furry friend! 

Golden skulls dog treats 

For a spooky skull treat, we recommend these golden skulls! Grab some coconut milk, turmeric, honey, some ginger, and skull molds! Mix the coconut milk, turmeric, and honey until well combined. Dust your mold with ginger and turmeric, pour the coconut milk mixture into molds and allow to freeze for up to eight hours, run warm water around the mold to remove, and watch your dog have a spooktacular and tasty treat!
